I have a very similar problem. I need to build boot media that will
install an image onto Dell Precision 380 workstations with SATA. The
problem is that no systemimager "flavor" that I have has the correct
drivers for the Intel ICH7 SATA controller on that machine.

I have never been able to build a custom systemimager boot CD without
fudging it and building one with statically loaded drivers, either. The
docs that I have tell you it is possible with the source package, but
the one I can get has a 2.4 kernel, and the drivers I need are in
2.6.15. SystemImager v 3.5.3 is reputed to do be the answer, but I have
not been able to build it on my Ubuntu development system.

Does anyone have a custom iso that will work with the Intel ICH7 SATA
controller?
Can anyone help with instructions on how to build a custom boot CD for
Systemimager?

Thanks
