That was the one!
So now ./configure apparently runs fine, make runs through without complaint.
However...
When I "make install all" none (ok, I only tried si_mkautoinstallcd) of the
commands work (I don't think the install finishes right, even though it drops
to a command line without complaining).
When I tried to "make install install_server_all", si_mkautoinstallcd started
DOING SOMETHING, but ack! Here's the last bit from the terminal window...
