so if i just removed the LBA flag, which is where the
start of the extended partition begins, would that blow
things up??  i mean i could try it, but it seems like it
would cause probs.

client and golden client and image server are
all the exact same machines.. IBMx226 with 3 x 72G
10k rpm drives in a raid5 (~140GB of formatted space)

yes.. the size before the last partition seems about right.
86153MB + end of disk should = ~140G.

like i said, reducing the last partition to an end size of
say ~32G from ~51G seems to solve the issue, but only randomly.
i still get the out of memory errors at times with the client
receiving the image.  i reboot, re-run thru the image deploy
and things seem to work.  btw, i can add a /dev/sda10 afterwards
and format that device with no problems.
