Honestly I've never heard something similar.. anybody has better ideas? Maybe the output of "parted -s -- /dev/sda print" (and "fdisk -l") from busybox could help... could you post it? It should be great to have also the exact error. Have you ever tried to use monitoring features http://wiki.systemimager.org/index.php/Monitoring?
