Hi Erich and Andrea, (FYI, I am testing systemimager-4.0.1.svn4339arighi.tar.bz2 on YDL5-ppc64(PS3).) Thanks for looking into this problem but I still get the rsync connection problem. I rebuilt the Andrea's new systemimager and used it but no luck. :-(
At the beginning, the rsync connection seems to work fine but I think it refuses the connection when it starts to transfer oscarimage. This is the log message that I got from oscar_server:/var/log/systemimager/rsyncd 2007/11/28 14:34:18 [5384] Global parameter log file found in service section! 2007/11/28 14:34:18 [5384] connect from peach1.osl.iu.edu (129.79.246.58) 2007/11/28 14:34:18 [5384] rsync on boot/ppc64-ps3/standard/boel_binaries.tar.gz from peach1.osl.iu.edu (129.79.246.58) 2007/11/28 21:34:19 [5384] sent 18211043 bytes received 136 bytes total size 18208690 2007/11/28 14:34:25 [5385] Global parameter log file found in service section! 2007/11/28 14:34:25 [5385] connect from peach1.osl.iu.edu (129.79.246.58) 2007/11/28 14:34:25 [5385] rsync on scripts/ from peach1.osl.iu.edu (129.79.246.58) 2007/11/28 21:34:25 [5385] sent 35512 bytes received 302 bytes total size 34686 2007/11/28 14:35:08 [5387] Global parameter log file found in service section! 2007/11/28 14:35:08 [5387] connect from peach1.osl.iu.edu (129.79.246.58) 2007/11/28 14:35:09 [5387] rsync on oscarimage/ from peach1.osl.iu.edu (129.79.246.58) 2007/11/28 14:35:34 [5387] sent 1032382 bytes received 87 bytes total size 1053080608 2007/11/28 14:35:36 [5388] Global parameter log file found in service section! 2007/11/28 14:35:36 [5388] connect from peach1.osl.iu.edu (129.79.246.58) 2007/11/28 14:35:36 [5388] rsync on oscarimage/ from peach1.osl.iu.edu (129.79.246.58) 2007/11/28 14:35:41 [5388] rsync: writefd_unbuffered failed to write 4 bytes [sender]: Connection reset by peer (104) 2007/11/28 14:35:41 [5388] rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(1119) [sender=2.6.8] If you guys can figure out this problem, that would be really great.
