After hours of trial and error, I finally have Kismet, GPSDrive, Ethereal, and
my Orinoco drivers (which now go into RF Monitor mode) working in perfect
harmony.
But I would have saved A LOT of time had I seen this earlier:

Also, I did buy the Deluo GPS USB unit

There's a serial version was well, but if you're on a PC it makes more
sense to get that version of the product (you need to be using COM ports
1-4 for the included Rand McNally mapping software to work properly -- but
on my PC my USB ports map to COM 5).
