Hi Anna, a friend told me that you should install the oracle client on the
client machine. In the instalation directory there should be a file
containing info about the server name/address and service names.
There is also the following on (
http://soci.sourceforge.net/doc/backends/oracle.html ), in case you haven't
already found:
Required Client Libraries
The SOCI Oracle backend requires Oracle's libclntsh client library.
Depending on the particular system, the libnnz10 library might be needed as
well.
