Hi Gal, As you might have noticed, ODBC backend has been orphaned recently. (see my post "ODBC and Firebird backend maintainer wanted!") Within SOCI, we've considered ODBC as main interface for MS SQL Server users. Actually, we could kill most of Windows-hosted DBMS needs having ODBC support. Alternatively, and my personal favourite in fact, would be "native" backend for Microsoft SQL Server. However, I haven't investigated how feasible and reliable it would be. Currently, I see two choices, it is either resurrect ODBC backend which is in fairly usable but early and needs some substantial work and testing, or implement new SQL Server backend from scratch. It would be fantastic if you could contribute to any of these options.
