Hi, I had a similar issue. During the install you can select which 'architecture' you want to install.
In short you need to un-install the server and re-install it setting the architecture to 32bit Robin -----Original Message----- From: Mateusz Loskot <[email protected]> Date: Sun, 10 Feb 2013 02:27:26 To: <[email protected]> Reply-To: "General-purpose list for SOCI users." <[email protected]> Subject: [soci-users] MySQL 5.6 libraries for Visual Studio Hi, Today, I played a bit with MySQL 5.6.10 on Windows 8 using Visual Studio 2012 and I noticed strange thing. The MySQL combined installer with 32-bit and 64-bit binaries installed only client libraries for 64-bit architecture. Not sure if I missed some switches in the wizard, but I went for the full Developer option, which is default. It may be helpful to others, so I put it into the FAQ: Q: MySQL 5.6 client libraries for Visual Studio https://github.com/SOCI/soci/wiki/FAQ If anyone sees any obvious mistakes, feel free to correct.
