Thanks for the links. I did go through them and some of the comments look like deja vu to me. 1. slow boot 2. CF not recognized 3. Grub error The thing of it is that the same CF works fine in an ALIX board. Perhaps the soekris bios is more particular about the CF devices. At the moment I am not in front of the device. I will check it's bios version and upgrade.
