This is perfect for me, since I've been using it to place trees at the surface of the landscape, which results in faraway trees hovering in midair when I move the camera near them. However, I can see situations where people might want to use both functions together, in which case I think it might be better to have a separate method or an optional argument use_lod or something like that. -- Sean Lynch http://sean.lynch.tv/
