Standards, official, or not, I've always pronounced it as Sequel. Ehm-Ess-Sequel, My-Sequel, Sequel-Lite, etc.
IMO, S-Q-L is an acronym, as everyone knows, and since RADAR(1) is also an Acronym, why the fuss?
