Well, I changed my mind. My new plan:
1. fix Stackless/changelog.txt (needs review)
2. create tag v2.7.4-slp
3. merge v2.7.5
4. release v2.7.5-slp
This effectively makes v2.7.4-slp a source code only release. Any
objections?
This sounds ideal.
We should also do proper releases for all versions of Python except
bad releases. This means that if anyone gets the time, we do complete
releases for any versions we are missing them for (2.7.3?).
Fortunately I had a few hours. I made a v2.7.3-slp. If anyone needs it,
it is available from hg.python.org/stackless.
This version is simply the combination of v2.7.3 with the 2.7-slp just
before merging post v2.7.3 changes into 2.7-slp. I didn't test
v2.7.3-slp extensively. We can't change history anyway.
The line
of thinking I believe is that there are people that have to use a
certain version, and we should make it easy for them if we can.
That is certainly true, especially for 2.7.3. It was a very widely used
release.
Cheers
