Very interesting. Could you describe your environment in more detail? In particular, are there be any common components that we could share? > On the XO the two standout possibilities are rainbow integration and mesh > based 0install cache sharing. I believe you'd get the support of several Sugar developers. Whenever technically feasible, we've been looking for opportunities to broaden the base for the underlying technologies so that we can focus more on the distinctive aspects of the Sugar environment. Piggy-backing on standard Linux distros with minimal customization already gave its fruits. Switching to Metacity as a window manager also helped. Rainbow has been genericized and is already a stand-alone package in Fedora and Ubuntu; I think it would be great if multiple projects adopted it as part of their security model. -- // Bernie Innocenti - http://codewiz.org/ \X/ Sugar Labs - http://sugarlabs.org/ _______________________________________________ Sugar-devel mailing list Sugar-devel@lists.sugarlabs.org http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel
