Hey All, Long time no talk! The SCINI ROV is back and currently being assembled for a new field season in Antarctica. Bob asked me to look for a small mic that we could fit inside the ROV to listen to various device activity indicators (motors, clicks, etc.). It looks like most of the links on the Audio elphel wiki page are either discontinued products, or not really good for an embedded use case.
I tried this small mic ages ago but couldn't get it to work: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D9TBSAY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 usb 1-1.2: new full speed USB device using crisv32_hc and address 8 usb 1-1.2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [root@Elphel353 /root]13814# aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** [root@Elphel353 /root]13814# Any way you could speed me up with suggestions for a USB mic with a supported chipset on the Elphel 353 kernel that would meet these physical specs? a small usb device up to a 1", 1.5" long is *maybe OK* but getting tough, a little bit wider may also be OK Thanks for any pointers! Totally appreciate it. Best, David
