I have two flags given to me by the US government. How many do you have? You have the spill about protection. The truth is far different. The gas in the US would be a lot higher if it were not subsidize by the US taxpayers that protect unstable regions were we get our oil from.
During the revolutionary war, we fought the British for our independence and won. We had no standing army and didn't have any budget going toward the military. Yet, we took on the most powerful military in the world and won. Now, we spend more money on our military than the rest of the world does put together and all we hear is that we need to spend more for our own protection. Sounds like a lot of paranoia to me, you know, the people who always say "They are out to get me". When was the last time that our military protected us from a foreign power who was attacking us?
