John >> Actually there isn't much more to cross country than one long race on some bumpy ground, that is the beauty of it. It is one race, winner take all. That person doesn't share the spot light with anyone. It is survivor of the fittest at its finest. There is no more simple sport in the world. Just set a course and beat the next guy to the finish line. There is no other level of cross country in the world where the best people get to choose from 2 different races. There might be some youth or JV races, but that doesn't count because they aren't the best. I say let all the best runners go to one starting line and find out who is the best runner.
