I had that, when I first started using TB with IMAP. I had 15 copies each of three different folders at one time. I don't know how it was happening but I had to start from fresh to get rid of them as they just kept multiplying every time I started TB.
If you look back through the archives you may be able to find my post complete with a screen shot of them. I wasn't using fastmail at the time.
