It certainly is possible. I only used the gmail website to create the account in the first place and occasionaly for "website login required" errors (see below). You need to look in the settings there and enable POP. In The Bat, just create an account like any other. SMTP = smtp.gmail.com secure to regular (startTLS) port 587 POP = pop.gmail.com secure to dedicated (TLS) port 995 Keep an eye on the account log. If your IP address for the actual Internet connection changes, you get "website login required" errors. That will probably happen the first time. Then just login at www.gmail.com and logout again. Then your email client will work. You might have to set "allow access for insecure apps" somewhere when actually logged in to gmail in a web browser, but if this happens you should only have to do it once.
