If Don doesn't have disk space for a parallel MiKTeX, he certainly
won't have room for a parallel Windows + MiKTeX. But VirtualBox can
indeed be useful on a computer with disk space to spare and lots of
RAM. Though it seems to take me longer to configure Windows than to
configure MiKTeX now that all the musixtex/pmx/m-tx stuff can be
installed with one click or even automatically.
