I think that you are right...It does appear that as soon as you select 'work offline' it does not try to connect. I think I tried the local IP address (127.0.0.1) as well. I will try this tonight also. Setting the connect via LAN is a good idea, I know I didn't try that. (I tried the never connect option though to no avail) I don't have a network card in the computer. Where can I find information in the loopback adapter? (microsoft I assume?) Thanks again for the ideas!
