Hi, I have managed to get our strings up to Launchpad Translation: https://translations.launchpad.net/tomdroid/
A bash script will help us to create a *.pot (Launchpad translation template), when some strings got changed in the main branch. It has just to be run after merging new strings and Launchpad will automatically fetch it from the sources. Then our strings will hopefully be translated by all the awesome volunteers and before an release we just download the translation files (tomdroid-**.po) and convert them back into the android xml files (values-**/strings.xml). All the thanks goes to this project: http://code.google.com/p/openintents/wiki/Translations Unfortunately, we have to manually enter the already existing translations (3 remaining) into Launchpad first. I already did it for German and it took me about 10 minutes. If you are bored some time, please pick a strings.xml file and copy/paste the translations into Launchpad. Thanks for your help and I hope you enjoy the new system! Cheers, Stefan PS: Nothing is fixed yet, I haven't merged the according branch (lp:~j-4/tomdroid/launchpad-translations) into main. If you have doubts, please shout! _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~tomdroid-dev Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~tomdroid-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
