I think you have misunderstood what the preachers are doing. They are
not enlisting preachers to persuade people that they "ought to stand up
for their faith"; rather, this particular group is an association of
people who think Christians ought to stand up for what they believe
about Jesus, and that they ought to preach Christ as the New Testament
Christians did and not lay down in passivity as Satan takes over our
culture. Although I am not part of SPF because of my broader views
about Jesus Christ, I agree with that idea of preaching Christ to a
wicked generation.

Right about the Indianapolis police, but the Mormons seem to hate the
way street preachers go about sharing their faith as well. The Reformed
Baptists seem to hate it also (see http://aomin.org/StreetAbuse.html).

I think your viewpoint is even more narrow and focused than that of SPF.
Jesus didn't preach much on this nature of his shed blood. He seemed to
focus upon their need to repent. The apostles seemed to focus on the
need to believe Jesus. All this "nature of his shed blood" kind of
preaching is clearly post New Testament within the confines of a church
building, and even then, it is not something preached much among
sinners. Am I wrong? Have you ever preached about the nature of his
shed blood out in public to sinners? If so, do you do this regularly?

Peace be with you.
