Thanks for your post.

I've tried today release of snd-hda-dkms package
(0.201205240909~precise1) and i still have the same scenario that the
last one.

Then i follow your post and i installed the kernel 3.2.18 which make my
sound works but still with 2 channels in my computer. I don't know if
was the kernel or the snd-hda-dkms package but with this kernel it
appears that i have more soundcards available  (HDMI soundcard) - Please
check the attachment, but still, in my computer it plays only on right
and left channel.

Now i've uninstalled the kernel 3.2.18 because it does not like my fglrx
driver that i've installed from amd. Im with the ubuntu suggested
kernel: 3.2.0-24

I'm available for any test.
