That raises a different problem. Neither port of the system NIC seems to work in the installer. If I boot into the UEFI menu the system gets an IP over DHCP just fine but nothing in the installer. If I drop out to a shell and try to bring the interface up ip addr shows a NO-CARRIER status.
It's a Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5720 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe that Ubuntu officially claims works with this specific system (https://certification.ubuntu.com/hardware/201812-26701) but as far as I can tell that's wrong or there's been some minor hardware revision that's causing problems. Can I re-mount the USB drive I'm installing from as read-write while the installer is running? I'm not sure how else to get /var/log/installer/* off the system w/o networking. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1849325 Title: 18.04 Server Install - Software RAID setup crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/curtin/+bug/1849325/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
