I'm not suggesting you trigger uevents for all devices, just the one
you're repartitioning...

yes I know, my point was you appear concerned about the extra time of
retriggering a single device, while bootup retriggers all devices.

In any case, as I said in comment 57 - you appear to have things under
control, I was only curious if anyone had actually tested if simply
retriggering the repartitioned device does actually fix/workaround the
problem.  I'll step back out of this bug again. :)
