Greetings,

After a bit of research I recently purchased a Linux friendly tablet and
installed Ubuntu Fiesty almost flawlessly. I am generally happy with it,
especially after I started using OnBoard. My only real complaint is the
apparent lack of handwriting recognition. It seems that the only real
options are for handhelds, which led me here. With questions.

Handwriting Recognition Questions:
 * What handwriting (real and/or graffiti) solution is planned for UME?
 * Will that solution be available eventually for mainline Ubuntu?
 * Does anybody have any ideas/can I help beta testing a solution?

UME Question:
 * Is there an easy way to install UME on my tablet to try it out?
Like editing my sources.list and running apt-get install ume-desktop?
 * On a UME system can I adjust my sources.list and apt-get install any
   Ubuntu software and run it?
 * Is there anything to prevent running mainline apps like OpenOffice
   and Evolution on UME?

Thanks in advance, UME looks pretty good. I have a Sharp Zaurus SL-C1000
gathering dust in a drawer, and if UME ever runs on an ARM I will give
it a whirl.

James
