Since there is a two week delay between pushing patches upstream into the
ubuntu-kernel and them getting back into the daily builds, wouldn't it make
sense to test these changes prior to pushing them?  It seems to me that we
spend a lot of time spinning our wheels hoping a push doesn't break, and
then scrambling when it does.  It would be much more efficient if we tested
them before submitting.

At least that's how we do it in alsa.

BTW:  I have a Q1-Ultra, and am working on the mic issue in my spare time.
I hope to get a patch ready this week, time permitting.
