I'm using 'dd' in a Ubuntu 8.04 box. The blinking cursor appears with a SanDisk Cruzer Micro (4GB) USB key.
I have just tried with a Kingston Datatraveler (2GB) and, instead of the blinking cursor, I got a "No bootable partition in table" message. Any additional steps to prepare the bootable USB key?
