You were right, I deleted everything in /var/tmp and it works also as
unprivileged user now.
"works" means I still get a little different error and I don't know why.

It downloads and compiles a long time till I get the following error:

OS is an up to date Debian 4.0/etch.
Why does it do that? I'm becomming crazy here. :/
