Queen Victoria was of course Empress of India, not Emperor. No other British monarch had that title.

Yes, but they were emperors, not empresses. Different words in English and in Latin, though the abbreviated Latin on the coins is the same. Also on coins of Edward VIII, though very few were ever issued.
