thanks Arjo. You're right about the render settings on the vessel. The image
is a screendump from the last stages of modelling and texturing. I than had
go back to the houseboat projects for which the small vessel was intended as
a background object.
What I really enjoyed though is modelling a shape like this in SDS. If it
doesn't need to be extremely accurate this is great fun, a sort of digital
clay with "undo".

BTW, the tutorial on Jean-Sebastien's website (
http://www.neuroworld.ca/tutorials.htm ) has pointed me out once or twice,
he uses a smart way of connecting points, creating- and deleting faces and
duplicating edges.
