Midgard needs it's own apache module installed, this requires root
access on the server, so unless this is a dedicated (virtual or real)
server it might be impossible for you to have that access. Though you
might be able to persuade the hosting provider to install Midgard for
you (and maybe even set up a dedicated midgard hosting server for
themselves, Midgard lends itself excellently to shared hosting).
