I've a problem as well, that belongs to textareas and serialization.

In my case genenerates the serialization a lot of crap contents to my empty(!)
textarea, when I bring it up to my page to handle formular inputs.

Such as <textarea name="ART_REQUIREMENTS"></textarea> producing a textarea
filled with xhtml code that has been generated after this element.

Example:

<textarea name="ART_REQUIREMENTS">
  </tr></table></form>
 ...
</textarea>

So my current solution is to passing a char to the textarea to beginning(like
&nbsp;). So it works fine.

<textarea name="ART_REQUIREMENTS"></textarea>
