Thanks Regina. I'll check out the bootstrap.ini file.

The 'new' user would be new to LO. Fortunately we don't have a lot of
turn-over in our personnel.

Is the folder, containing the user's files mapped to a drive letter,
e.g. U: ? In that case you can edit the bootstap.ini and point to that
folder.

Do you have a true domain, so that the user profile is copied to the
server, when the user logout? Then you need not worry, that it is C: The
temp folder, which LO uses is not the system temp folder, but a temp
folder in the profile.

The bootstrap.ini uses syntax like $SYSUSERCONFIG for the folder with
the users WinXP profile, or $ORIGIN for the folder with the file
bootstrap.ini. I don't know which variables are known besides that two.

Another way: If your users don't need to start LO with double click on a
file, you can give them a start icon, which calls LO with the
-env:UserInstallation= parameter.

With "new" user do you mean new to the system or new to LO?

Kind regards
Regina
