Thanks Regina. I'll check out the bootstrap.ini file. The 'new' user would be new to LO. Fortunately we don't have a lot of turn-over in our personnel.

The bootstrap.ini uses syntax like $SYSUSERCONFIG for the folder with the users WinXP profile, or $ORIGIN for the folder with the file bootstrap.ini. I don't know which variables are known besides that two. Another way: If your users don't need to start LO with double click on a file, you can give them a start icon, which calls LO with the -env:UserInstallation= parameter. With "new" user do you mean new to the system or new to LO?
