Hello all: I downloaded the beta set of the UWIN 5.0b. Namely uwin-base.2011-06-16.win32.i386.exe, uwin-dev.2011-06-16.win32.i386.exe, uwin-xbase.2011-06-15.win32.i386.exe, uwin-xdev.2011-06-15.win32.i386.exe, and uwin-xfonts.2011-06-15.win32.i386.exe packages. I went about the normal install so I installed uwin-base package. It installed fine without any problem and I can get to ksh. However few observations, listed below:
- No applet appeared in control panel to configure the UWIN services such as rlogin, ftp, rsh, etc. - Uninstall from the ->'control panel'->'add or remove program' performs no function. I must perform the uninstall from the uninstall Menu shortcut created. Then I went to install the uwin-dev, uwin-xbase, uwin-xdev and uwin-xfonts. They all simply exited without any errors and without installing it.
