Years ago I became a believer of handlegrip heaters after renting a BMW so
equipped. They really do work and allow you to travel with much lighter
gloves. Problem with OEM heaters is high cost or unavailability.

A couple of years ago, Motorcycle Consumer News tested Kimpex heaters with
favorable results. I bought some and installed them on my Venture SS (1300
Venture with Max heads, carbs, etc). They draw 25W on low and 35W on high.

I have no interest in Dennis Kirk promotion, but this is one easy mail order
source to use.

Cost is $24.99 from Dennis Kirk, Part No. 39-31 in their 2000 Snowmobile
catalog, page 71. Ph. 800.328.9280.

These heaters are different than Hot Grips, which are a hard plastic
replacement grip. Kimpex heaters consist of a heavy printed circuit on
flexible plastic, which fits beneath your stock grips. Small black wires
(easily hidden) run from the grips. If you are worried about current draw,
then Hot Grips may be your answer because their snowmobile version draws
only 7.5/20W.

internatonally. Payment by VISA is o.k.
