The numbers were still on the trailer from the second previous owner as we bought it from someone who was not a member of WBCCI. I called Kathy Adams at WBCCI and gave her the number. I was told that since the numbers had been inactive for over two years that they were once again available, so I chose to keep them. Also, regarding the past WBCCI directories, the only place I'm aware of that has the complete set is WBCCI headquarters. When going through Jackson Center on the way to International in Rapid City last June I stopped and paid a visit to the staff there and was able to check the past issues to get an idea of just who had had the numbers. Through that resource and the few pieces of memorabilia discovered in the trailer I have a fairly accurate history of the trailer and have even been able to correspond with the son of the second previous owner over in England. Good luck on your search. Harley C. Muse/John D. Take the trailer, not just the wheels, to have them installed. When the tires are a little fatter or taller than the originals they won't go in and can't be used. Bargains then are no bargain. His business is towing travel trailers for manufacturers. You might touch base with him. Even if he's not available during your window of time, he'd share his knowledge of options with you. I want to make you aware of an issue that I hope that we can at least curb: Your mailbox quota. Please, tend to your mailbox - delete old messages, and expect to receive MANY messages from the VACList. As Spring comes, we'll be getting more and more messages, and if your email account goes over quota, you may risk being bounced from the VACList until you've resolved the issue. Being bounced is a manual effort on my part, and it just isn't a fun task. IF you're bounced from the list, and you'd like to re-subscribe, you'll have to email ME directly. You won't be able to sign up again without my approval. If it happens often, you may have to lavish me with expensive gifts or free tickets to sporting events in order to get back on the list. We have come to be quite fond of our old numbers and actually direct visitors to our trailer while camping by the numbers on the end of the trailer. Fortunately we know who the previous owner was and that they were his numbers. However I am now polishing the Overlander and had to remove the front set so will try to have them reinstated. As well they serve as a source of great curiosity to many people who do not know the WBBCI numerical system of identification. Cheers, and thanks for the info. If your provider *does* reject the email, then majordomo sends *me an email. this is how it affects me. For every message that gets distributed to an address that *rejects that message, I get an email. if one persons account goes over quota for 1 day, I may get an additional 30-100 emails from majordomo. 2 people over quota = 60-200 emails (in addition to regular list postings.) you get the drift. and that's not much of an exaggeration. does that help?
