Perhaps not but they always have the IP or Ethernet address of the computer, Mac or not, that they send info too. All Ethernet devices have a unique address and don't be naive and believe that the NSA et. al. doesn't record your every move on the internet whether it be web, email or whatever. Recently the government subpoenaed google, yahoo, AOL and MSN for all search query info in the name of prohibiting child pornography. Only google balked. And if you believe that's the government's only concern and they have no intention of breaching anybody's freedom, I have a bridge to sell you in Arizona. It crosses a dry wash near Tombstone.
