What I see here is a peak around solar max superimposed on a general upward trend. It's a pity about the missing years. This is perhaps more use: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/img/climate/research/2007/ann/global-jan-dec-error-bar-pg.gif It seems to indicate that we *may* be at the peak of a wave with a 180-200 year period. (previous minimum in 1910).
