Th Essen & Kullander report amongst its many flaws gives the enthalpy of Nickel hydride as ~ 4000J/mol. I suspect the number is much higher. See http://www.hydrogen.energy.gov/pdfs/review06/stp_3_johnson.pdf. The true value is probably ~50 x higher. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0375960109007877 may be another good refernce as soon as it comes back online. This would drastically alter the picture for heat sources. Also not much energy is being stored in the metal mass during the ramp-up as can be seen in the graph. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jouni Valkonen To: vortex-l@eskimo.com Sent: Saturday, August 27, 2011 3:12 PM Subject: Re: [Vo]:The Krivit Videos Part 3

And also Lewan had free hands to measure what ever he liked. If he had realized he would have done even steam sparging calorimetry: http://www.mail-archive.com/vortex-l@eskimo.com/msg50606.html You are corect that Krivit's demonstration was more than worthless. My guess is that it was purposely misleading! —Jouni
