In spoken Italian, a humorous (if irritating) way to deny a "Can you...?" request is by answering "yes". In other languages it might be a perfectly valid and logic answer, however.

A: "Può dirmi che ore sono?" ("What time is it?" Lit.: "Could you tell me what time is it?")
B: "Sì" ("Yes")
A: "..."
