A while back somebody did the research and actually got the connect string that tnsping uses to check oracle. It has worked for us for about 90% of our Oracle base. This works on any platform running standard oracle listener on 1521. Just copy and paste the following in to the services.ini in your Whatsup directory. Good luck.
