<rant: on> Will Powershell even last is an important question when dealing with Microsoft. The Microsoft admins (like me) that have been around awhile are quite familiar with various forms of institutional amnesia that occur with their products. Some Microsoft admins embrace the amnesia migration projects as job security. I don't. <rant:off> Perl has many, many modules that I use that simply are not available in Powershell. The big upside is in a heterogeneous environment, (ex. multiple Microsoft products and Linux the scripting is similar. I can easily show increased productivity that way.
