>From an elevated command prompt, you need to run the following once: msbuild
tools\OneTimeWixBuildInitialization.proj

After that, you can just run msbuild from just about any directory (like the
root to build everything) from in an elevated or non-elevated command prompt
(you'll want to run elevated for running test\test.bat).

Subject: [WiX-devs] How to build wix from source code

 hey all

How does one go about building wix from source code? The documentation on
the web <http://wix.sourceforge.net/manual-wix3/building_wix.htm> seems out
date. It refers to building using NANT even though it seems like everything
is built using msbuild.

I tried to fetch wix38 from
http://wix.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/view/9b80f75f8f0ae93b558a15a
29fc03e7f0ea1bf68

Is wix38 the latest version about to be released ? wix38 src has a
chm/html/wixdev.htm that still refers to building using nant.

Thanks

Raj
