Blue Hills Trail report...
The skating lane of the East & West
Side was groomed with the Tidd Tech Tenderizer
Thursday, February 13. The striding lane was set Monday, February 10.
The south half of Audie was
groomed for skating & striding Thursday, February 13 including a connecting
trail to the WestSide.
With the exception of occasional small dirt
patches that are easily negotiated, very good conditions were available
with fresh corduroy (fresh grooming) in the skating lane today. The
base is firm in most areas and provides good edge control and generally
solid pole plants. While rock skis
are not necessary on much of the trail, some ruts, frost heaves, and
stones remain poorly covered. Most of our local skiers are using
their good skis.
