Matthew,
It's no secret that xdoclet is mainly used for ejb stuff. The only thing is that nobody cared enough to migrate the ejb plugin to xdoclet2 yet. Konstantin and I, and other x2 plugin developers had personal need for the plugins we wrote, which is why we did them. When I work with ejb, i'm satisfied with the x1 implementation. (At least not annoyed enough to get time to migrate that whole thing - i use at work only)I had forgotten that I use Xdoclet to generate Hibernate mapping files also. So, I'm sure that plugin gets a lot of use too.
But, it would be interesting to find the percentage of Xdoclet users who use the EJB module only. I suspect that it would be a lot higher than the Xdoclet developers think it is.
Also I have to admit I don't know ejb well enough to write that plugin on my own. If somebody cared to migrate it, I could certainly assist and help, though.
Cheers,
greg
