I'm currently using XDoclet 1.2.1 to help construct an EAR that contains 2 MDBs and 1 stateless session bean that is used as a web services endpoint. I'm running into trouble with the stateless session EJB endpoint, however, and thought I'd ask for some help.
The ejbdoclet Ant task generates the local and remote interfaces for the stateless EJB, and I want those. But I also need the deployment descriptor subtask to NOT generate the entries in the ejb-jar.xml file for that same class, and instead use a merge file to declare it as an endpoint connected to an EJB. There doesn't seem to be a way to exclude that class from deploymentdescriptor and not from ejbdoclet.
Perhaps there is another way with the more recent version of XDoclet 1.2.2RC1, but I haven't seen anything in the docs that really help, or perhaps I should take a different approach?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

ronc,
I just got done going through this myself and found that, at least in 1.2.2RC1 that the docs were there, but that they weren't in the main menu off of the index page of the docs. Instead look under xdoclet-1.2.2-RC1\docs\ant\xdoclet\modules\wsee.
However, a word of warning!
a) The wsdl seemed to be hardcoded with values, so I ended up using java2wsdl from axis istead.
b) The jaxrpc-mapping points to a DTD instead of the XSD details that are required.
c) the web-services.xml is called the wrong name as it should be webservices.xml, and includes a number of incorrect xml tags.
Nonetheless, it's useful to get going and does speed up the development process, and I look forward to the version when these bugs are ironed out.
You can see what I was able to do with it here on a page that I set up for a practical in a class that I'll be teaching soon:
http://www.csd.abdn.ac.uk/~bscharla/teaching/CS5302/practicals/practical9.shtml
This is based on the students using Lomboz with Eclipse, plus Ant to 'reach the parts other tools don't' as it were.

Bruce
