It looks like all the RenderAddGlyph requests fail - I guess there is a misunderstanding between the client and the server about the pixmap format they should use. I might send you a changed version of xscope that dumps the actual pixmaps used - that way I can at least see what the client thinks it's doing. Would you rather have it as a tarball, a single file (that would be render.c) or a diff (that is, a patch) ?
