If you mean setting zfs_vdev_cache_bshift to 13 (per the ZFS Evil
Tuning Guide) to turn off device-level prefetching then yes, I have
tried turning off just that; it made no difference.
If there's another tunable then I don't know about it and haven't
tried it (and would be pleased to).
